Allegation of Research Misconduct
Jurnal Plastik Rekonstruksi takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and is committed to maintaining research integrity and ethical standards throughout the publication process. Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other violations of accepted research and publication ethics.
Allegations may be submitted by authors, reviewers, readers, institutions, or other parties to the editorial team. All allegations will be assessed fairly, objectively, and confidentially, to the extent possible, with due consideration for the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved.
The editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether an allegation warrants further investigation. When necessary, the editor may request relevant documentation, supporting evidence, or explanations from the individuals concerned. The journal may also contact the authors' affiliated institutions or other relevant authorities when the matter requires further investigation beyond the journal's authority.
All parties will be given an appropriate opportunity to respond to allegations concerning their work or conduct. Editorial decisions will be based on the available evidence and the findings of the investigation, without presuming misconduct before the facts have been adequately assessed.
Where allegations concern published articles, any subsequent editorial action, including corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, will be handled in accordance with the journal's Correction and Retractions policy and relevant publication ethics guidelines.
Jurnal Plastik Rekonstruksi follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling allegations of research misconduct.
