Electronic Filing

Jurnal Plastik Rekonstruksi is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, availability, and preservation of its scholarly publications through electronic archiving and digital preservation practices. The journal uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to manage its editorial workflow, publish articles, and provide online access to its published content.

To support the continuity and preservation of its digital publications, the journal adopts the following electronic archiving and digital preservation measures.

1. Open Journal Systems (OJS)

The journal uses OJS as its primary platform for managing editorial processes, publishing scholarly articles, and providing online access to published issues. The platform supports the organization and accessibility of the journal's digital content.

2. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

The journal supports the use of the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to facilitate the long-term preservation of scholarly content published through compatible journal platforms. The journal will maintain or pursue participation in this service, subject to technical eligibility and configuration requirements.

3. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS

The journal recognizes the importance of distributed digital preservation systems, including LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), in protecting scholarly publications against potential data loss and ensuring continued access to archived content. The journal may implement these or other recognized preservation services as appropriate to its technical capabilities and preservation strategy.

4. Institutional and Subject Repositories

Authors are permitted to deposit their preprints, Author's Accepted Manuscripts (AAMs), and published articles (Version of Record) in institutional repositories, subject repositories, and other appropriate academic platforms, subject to the journal's copyright and licensing policies. Authors must acknowledge Jurnal Plastik Rekonstruksi as the original publication venue and provide a link to the published article on the journal's official website. The article's DOI must also be included where available.

5. Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

The journal uses Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), where assigned, to support the persistent identification, discoverability, and citation of published articles. Authors, readers, and repository administrators are encouraged to include the DOI in citations, repository records, and other scholarly references to facilitate access to the original publication.

6. Data Backup and Recovery

The journal recognizes the importance of protecting its digital publications, metadata, and editorial records against accidental loss, technical failure, and other disruptions. Appropriate data backup and recovery procedures should be maintained to support the continuity of journal operations and the restoration of digital content when necessary.

Through these measures, Jurnal Plastik Rekonstruksi seeks to strengthen the preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its scholarly publications and to support the long-term dissemination of research in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
